About Me
I have thought about doing this very thing write here (pun intended) for over a decade. I’ve always wanted to share my ideas, inspiration, DIY, crafting, business advice, party planning, mama hacks etc with others. I many times made videos with plans to edit or start a blog and never followed through because well- I’m a momma and I’m busy and ADHD causes me to have a lot of ideas without all the follow through. Warning: I also love run on sentences because my brain tries to fit in as many things as possible in the breath I take as if I was to say this out loud. Warning to the grammar police: I am not for you (sorry Mr. Brugger aka high school bada** teacher). All that aside, here I am realizing I have always loved to write. So whether this sees just my eyes documenting my adventures or a few mamas who want to add some more extra without all the stress, I am excited to finally start what I think I have been meant to do for my soul for a very very long time.
If you are here mama, or anyone for that matter thank you for reading and know that all the extra isn’t perfect. Sometimes when you add extra in one place you lose time in other areas. You may have a badass party (yea I’m just going to add the swear words in, I like swear words. They are just honest) but your laundry is 2 weeks behind, your messes shoved in a closet, and your sheets haven’t been washed in well… I won’t even go there. I love to add extra and “love is in the details” should be my catch phrase (thanks Meghan Duchess of Sussex – her new show on Netflix speaks my language). Though, I want you to know even with being “extra” nothing is ever perfect. Even if people or things look perfect on the outside, I promise there’s still a mess somewhere inside. Even if I don’t want to admit it and I am a perfectionist at heart, it’s usually true. A quote from Meghan on her new show With Love Meghan on Netflix “We are not in the pursuit of perfection, we are in the pursuit of joy.” I hope you come along with me as we find joy in the details together.
With Love Hillary
Now how did we get here you ask? I have been planning large parties since I was my high school President (shoutout to GEC). I put on our schools very first formal dance with a very low budget. I planned my first wedding when I was about 19 years old. Since before I can remember, I have always loved to create something realistic, grand, unique, or special. I have always loved adding detail to anything I do. I have been crafting on multiple different cricut machines for about a decade. I have planned, decorated and executed many weddings. I love to do birthday parties for my kiddos that are more than “extra”. I love adding details to my life whether it be accessories and bows on a cup, glitter to my daughter Charlee and I hair or face, or
